Ms. Jing An is the Managing Partner of Altman & An LLP and has been practicing law since 2007. She began her career specializing in business immigration, representing a diverse range of clients including individual investors, foreign companies, U.S. employers, regional centers, project companies, and restaurant chains involved in immigrant investor programs. Ms. An has extensive experience assisting foreign business owners and corporations with L visas, E-2 visas, and permanent residency through EB-1C classification. She has successfully helped immigrants with extraordinary abilities obtain permanent residency under EB-1 and National Interest Waiver (NIW) classifications, representing outstanding scholars, professors, athletes, artists, producers, directors, actors, and models. Additionally, Ms. An has significant expertise in EB-5 Immigrant Investor Programs, including Regional Center establishment, AAO appeals, and complex EB-5 matters.

Since 2010, Ms. An has also practiced real estate law, representing developers and investors throughout Bronx, Queens, Brooklyn, and Westchester. She serves as external general counsel to several New York-based real estate funds and provides counsel to sponsors and developers through every stage of their projects—from land acquisition and zoning to offering plan preparation and closings. Ms. An’s real estate practice includes advising on fund offering documents and representing private lenders in sophisticated transactions such as mezzanine loans, co-lending arrangements, preferred equity loans, and inventory loans.

Ms. An’s strong background in physics, mathematics, engineering, and technology, earned at Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, has been instrumental in developing the firm’s intellectual property practice. She regularly files trademark registrations with the USPTO, advises on copyright takedowns, fair use, and ownership disputes, and represents clients in both litigation and pre-litigation matters before the USPTO, Southern District of New York (SDNY), and Northern District of Illinois (N.D. Ill.).

Before founding Altman & An LLP, Ms. An worked as general counsel for private equity firms in New York, managing mergers and acquisitions, drafting joint venture and venture capital funding documents, and overseeing compliance with FINRA and SEC regulations in affiliated brokerage firms.

Ms. An is an active member of the New York State Bar Association, the American Immigration Lawyers Association, and the New York Intellectual Property Law Association. She regularly sponsors and participates in legal events, delivers Continuing Legal Education (CLE) seminars, and appears in media interviews and reports.
